Rodrigo Fonseca established Premium Wines in 1999, with his business partner Orlando Rodrigues, pioneering the importation of a wide range of New Zealand wines into Brazil. Since its establishment, the business has expanded considerably and now shifts about 300,000 bottles of wine annually.
Rodrigo is also a Chef de Cuisine and Managing Partner of Taste-Vin, a restaurant and wine shop in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Taste-Vin has the most awarded wine list of Belo Horizonte, and has been internationally recognised with the "Best Award of Excellence" by Wine Spectator magazine for several years. Originally training as an electrical engineer, Rodrigo followed up with studies at the Institute of Masters of Wine and constantly travels to different wine regions in Brazil and abroad.
